It's day 2 for our Micah x Jynx Chocolate lab GREASE litter! These guys are big eaters! they are out-pacing our Eclipse litter in gains.
Pink Lady our littlest girl is quickly closing the gap between her and her siblings - 85g for her. She was not the biggest though- Zuko (orange) and Rizzo (red) each had gains of 115g! I actually re-weighed these two multiple times because I thought my scale was broken or I left something on it.
Jynx is a very attentive first time mom. She is not ready to let just anyone see her babies. We had a visit from Micah's owner today (Gigi Strauss) and Jynx was ok with the visit, especially after Gigi brought her some mother's pudding. Jynx is a big eater and her puppies are just like her- and she needs lots of food to keep everyone happy.
We had a restful afternoon, and everyone is settling in nicely.
We have a few upcoming events. Tomorrow we will begin our Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction with the pups. Look for updates in the afternoon regarding these first introductions. Hopefully we will be able to get some good pictures that are not under the red heat lamp!
On Monday we will be going to the vet for a well checkup and to have dewclaws removed. This is in the afternoon so things will probably be quiet. We will not do our early introduction program Monday or Tuesday since our vet visit will be enough.
