An Eclipse Visitor

Yesterday, we had a special visitor. Dr. Naomichi Masaki came from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to visit Raven's Eclipse Litter. He spent several hours with the pups.

Yesterday, we introduced Raven's eclipse litter to pheasant wing for the first time. As you can see, Blue / Rhea rather liked the pheasant wing. As part of the early neurological stimulation, we introduce the puppies to a different scent each day. We began with birch. One of the days, we introduced the puppies to gun powder. Today, they smelled pheasant wing. This helps the puppies become familiar with different scents and stimulates their developing brains.

Orange / Celeste explores the pheasant wing.

A short, 22 second video showing Raven nursing her 14 day old puppies. As the puppies get older and become more independent, Raven spends more and more time away from the puppies. She returns every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to nurse the puppies, or checks on them if any of the puppies cry.

For comparison purposes, a side by side of Raven's Grey / Moonie (14 days old) to Jynx's Purple / Sandy (24 hours old). Two weeks makes quite the difference.

Thanks Dr. Masaki for your visit and photos and videos of the puppies.
